Rock On Gigabyte
I have always been a fan of Gigabyte and AMD. I always chose Gigabyte motherboards due to their stability seeing as overclocking has never been my thing. I have owned the GA-7VAXP-A and the GA-K8NXP-9. And I have got to say that both these boards have been dream to work with. I currently own the GA-M59SLI-S5(rev. 1.0) and this definitely the most stable board I have used. No BSODs, no unexpected crashes. I had hoped at some point to obtain some high end graphics cards and at least a couple of 22inch monitor for a killer system, but as fate would have it, funds have been quite hard to come by this year. My current board if fully kitted would have been able to support up to 6 monitors but looks like Gigabyte have gone ahead and upped the ante again with the GA-M790-DQ6.
This will be the first board from Gigabyte to feature AMD RD790 chipset and support AMD Phenom quad core processors. The board will be socket AM2+ and the CPU will support DDR2 1066 memory controller while the board should support Hypertransprt 3.0.
The Gigabyte GA-M790-DQ6 also features support for PCI Express 2.0 as well as ATI Crossfire with dual x16 or four x8 connectivity for the ultimate high resolution gaming.
I had a look through an article on the HotHardware site and I get the feeling that this board will be a winner with quite a few people. Just hope the funds willbe available when this finally gets released later on this year. Definitely need to enquire about those single slot GFX cards. They seriously look cool.
